What We Believe

The Scriptures // We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God which declares His design and plan for mankind. ( Timothy 3:15-16)

Trinity // We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19).

Salvation // We believe every person can have restored fellowship with God through 'salvation' (accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin). Salvation comes through confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and repentance of sin. (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; John 14:6)

Virgin Birth // We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor. (Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25)

Water Baptism // We believe in water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:18-19; John 14:6)

Holy Spirit Baptism // We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a unique life-changing experience, accompanied by the evidence of speaking in tongues, following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. We believe that every Christian can be baptized in the Holy Spirit and is given special gifts that help minister to the Body of Christ and the unbeliever. (These gifts are found in both Romans 12, and 1 Corinthians 12.)

The Church // We believe the church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the church' is the body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.  (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15)

Sanctification // We believe sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christ-like. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Philippians 3:12-16)

Healing // We believe in divine healing of the sick which is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).  (Isaiah 53:5, James 5:16, Psalm 103:3)

Praise and Worship // We believe in worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in truth, with all of our hearts and with all of the means revealed in the Bible, showing our love with expressive demonstration of thanksgiving, joy, and praise.  (Psalm 134, 136, 147, 149, 150)

Blessed Hope // We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:10, 11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)

Marriage // We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and family commitment. We promote strong family values. (Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5 Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:24)

Core Values

1. It's all about Jesus // Everything we do is prioritized and centered around Jesus Christ

2. Faith & Works // What can we say? One without the other is dead. We will make every effort to demonstrate our faith and practice what we preach

3. Honor above all else // It's about valuing people. We will make every effort to honor each other and resist the temptation to devalue one another

4. We are Generous // We will be contributors and not consumers. We will give our gifts, talents, and resources to build Jesus' church and expand it's reach to our community

5. We are Diverse // We have a desire to mirror heaven on earth in our church life. That is why we strive to be a kingdom minded church that embraces every culture and race

6. We Multiply // We will always create opportunities for ongoing growth. We are a church of small groups that promote real life change

7. We will keep it REAL, RAW, & RIGHT // We will always demonstrate the word of God with Passion, Truth & Grace. We've been rescued, redeemed, and saved by a loving God. Why would we want to live beneath what he has already promised us?

8. We are Catalysts of Change // Thermometers simply read and adjust to the climate, while thermostats set the atmosphere. As followers of Jesus we will always set the climate, not adjust to it.

9. We will fight for it // We are going to pray like it depends on God and work like it depends on us. Ministry is hard work and God needs faithful people who are willing to do it.

10. We will have an Attitude of Gratitude // We will face every opportunity and every trial with an attitude of gratitude, knowing that in all things God is causing everything to work together for our good.
